Fire Update As of July 5, 2008 Treebones is open and welcoming guests. Visitors continue to enjoy the same scenic views, hospitable service, delicious meals in the cozy lodge, & the comfort of the yurts. It is an unusual time here as there is very little tourist traffic on the road - adding to the experience of remote seclusion. Many of our friends & fellow business owners in the north end of Big Sur have suffered great loss. We eagerly offer our hands & resources to help in any way needed and we are utterly grateful to remain south of the active fire line at this time. Thank you for your calls, emails and offers to help Treebones & the Big Sur Community. In the coming months we hope to provide specific information on how others may be helped. In the meantime your thoughts and prayers mean so much. It is so rewarding to share this piece of heaven with so many travelers & adventurers from both near and far. Treebones remains a miracle! Our yurts 'breathe with you' ... Yurts are tent-like circular fabric structures with wood lattice frames. Treebones yurts are spacious and tastefully furnished including: plush queen-sized beds with linens and cozy comforters, a heat source, electric lighting and a hot & cold sink vanity. The yurt floors are polished pine wood with french doors that open to a generous redwood deck with spectacular coastal views.
