Midweek Packages
Where Permaculture meets Passion
Jan 25 – 27, 2010
Dramatically situated on a coastal ridge overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Treebones exquisite views & unique yurt accommodations offer a ‘take me away’ setting like none you may have experienced before. It is rugged yet relaxed.
This extreme Big Sur setting is a finely balanced ecosystem energized by both the mountains and the sea. Treebones organic garden is situated right in front of the big blue ocean that sparkles and dances while we enjoy the stuff of the earth.
Bring your enthusiasm & garden gloves and share in the bliss of bringing a seed to life.
We will learn new insights as we explore the complete plant life cycle…from nourishing a seed to growth, to humbly harvesting and then proudly preparing our bounty for the day’s meal.
In your free time you can enjoy the environmental chlorine-free swimming pool or hot tub, kick up your feet on an Adirondack chair or take a nature hike to a rock vista that will take your breath away.
You will be unplugged here, there is no cell phone service, no television, radios or landlines in the yurts. Embrace the nature of it!
Retreat Host: Hello! My name is Cindalee Bidwell….I love the dirt!! Gardening has been my passion for the past 20 years. The organic garden at Treebones is my current love interest; it supplies vibrant veggies for the restaurant & offers a peaceful place for people to wander. I am in the Master Gardener’s program & the garden here a Treebones is my pilot project.
I truly believe that if the food we eat is grown with love & care, it has a much higher energy value & is of greater use to us, while giving honor to the earth & respect to our future generations by caring for it wisely. Come, gather with us. Welcome to all levels of gardeners.
Special Speaker: Melanie Blankenship. Owner of Nature’s Touch Nursery & Harvest and owner/host of a local Radio show called “ Earth Talk Radio” on 920 kvec. Which is all about Food, Farming, Environment, and Home. Melanie has owned Nature’s Touch for 15 years, starting as a wholesale plant nursery then opening the retail store in 2001 with plants, locally grown produce & fruit.
