“If you’re looking for a weekend getaway from San Francisco, Treebones Resort is your spot. Located at the southern end of Big Sur, Treebones Resort is glamping at it’s finest. It is a hip place filled with yurts, treehouses/nests, and two campsites. There are communal bathrooms and showers and other amenities that you wouldn’t get if you were just camping. This resort books up quickly so if you want to stay here, make sure to book in advance – their weekends are usually booked two months out.”
The Nest
Imagine living in this nest! The bed takes up the whole inside and there’s no windows or doors, so hopefully it’s not too windy at night (and hopefully it’s not raining)! You have to bring your own sleeping bags to sleep there. There’s storage for your luggage at the bottom of the nest. Bringing a tent is recommended in case of rain.
